The team at Avalanche Chiropractic is made up of skilled wellness professionals who are dedicated to getting our patients back to optimal health. We offer a range of specialisations and skills to meet the individual needs of each one of our patients.

STEVE SMITH

Chiropractor

Steve has been working in the Raymond Terrace/Port Stephens community as a chiropractor for the past 5 years. It has always been a dream of his to own and run his own chiropractic clinic and Avalanche Chiropractic is the result. Having completed his Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University in 2014, a degree which requires 5 years of clinically demanding study and research, he has been using and refining these skills in practice to help his clients.

In 2015 Steve completed a Certificate in Dry Needling, and in 2016 he achieved competency in the ICPA Paediatric Certification. Most recently in 2025, he has further expanded his treatment services by completing the Complete Concussion Management Course.

"My passion for Chiropractic started as a teenager. I was an active sportsperson that suffered from my fair share of niggling injuries. After seeing multiple styles of healthcare providers, I found the most effective, and fastest relief, was with Chiropractic care. After treatment I felt taller, lighter and had heaps more energy. The more I researched it, the more interested I became in the neurological aspect of Chiropractic Care."

CAROL GROSSENBACHER

Chiropractic Assistant

Carol has been working in Chiropractic care for 15 years. She is an expert in explaining the benefits of Chiropractic care to our patients and making our patients feel comfortable every time they visit.

BRITTANY HEPBURN

Remedial Massage Therapist

Brittany began her massage journey back in 2013, where she completed a Diploma and Certificate III in Massage Therapy. Since then, she has done further studies, acquiring a Certificate in Modern Cupping in 2016.

Since 2013, she has worked with the St George Illawarra Dragons, Newcastle Knights and Melbourne Victory. Brittany enjoys helping people so they are able to move better and feel great whilst having a good chat in between. She works on all areas of the body, but has a particular interest in shoulders, the neck and low back.

Whilst juggling her massage career, she was also playing professional baseball, this career spanned 17 years - 10 of them being professional. After retiring from professional sport, she has taken up the hobby of rock fishing, which she enjoys most weekends.

ROBYN KEDWELL

Chiropractic Assistant

Robyn has been working in Allied Health care for 25 years. She is new to Chiropractic, but her quiet welcoming personality is sure to make you feel right at home.
